It is alleged that the victim, a 21-year-old male was walking along Mitchell Street near Wisdom Bar, at approximately 2:30 am when he was hit to the side of the head by an unknown male, causing him to fall to the ground.

He subsequently received minor facial injuries.

Police are interested in speaking with two males that left the scene, described as:

A Caucasian male, approximately 180cm's tall, medium build, short dark hair and at the time was wearing a black t-shirt with a white 'Fox' symbol on the front.

A Caucasian male, approximately 180cm's tall, medium build, short dark hair and at the time was wearing a white t-shirt and faded jeans.

Anyone that may recognise these males, or witnessed the assault, are urged to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
