Police

Police are investigating the assault of a 35-year-old male that occurred on 19 December.

It is alleged that the 35-year-old was walking home at approximately 11:00 pm and travelled through the grounds of Charles Darwin University.

At this time he was approached by two males who demanded money and then assaulted him.

The incident was reported to security officers who then inturn reported it to police.

One male was described as aboriginal appearance, approximately 173 cm's tall and 25-years-old, medium build, short black hair, clean shaven and at the time of the offence was wearing a t-shirt and dark board shorts and carrying large sticks.

The second male was described to be of Maori appearance, 190 cm's tall and approximately 28 years of age.

At the time of the incident he was clean shaven and wearing a dark t-shirt and a baseball cap and was pushing a bicycle.

Police urge anyone with information in relation to the assault, or who may have seen the above mentioned offenders, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
