Six people were arrested after bringing alcohol into a restricted area near Hermannsburg at the weekend. 
In the first instance Police apprehended a Holden Commodore at an RBT station 15 kilometres from Hermannsburg around 9pm on Friday. The 23-year-old male driver was arrested after police found a 700ml bottle of rum in the vehicle. He was also found to be driving with a blood alcohol content of .095 per cent. He has been charged with: 
Medium range drink driving 
Drive disqualified 
Bring alcohol into a restricted area 
Control alcohol in a restricted area. 
He has been bailed to appear in the Hermannsburg Magistrates Court on January 11, 2010. 
In the second incident in the same area just after midnight on Friday, five people were arrested after the Holden Commodore in which they were travelling was found to be carrying 17 cans of VB beer. The 24-year-old female driver was also found to be driving with a blood alcohol content of .089 per cent. She has been charged with: 
Medium range drink driving 
Driving disqualified 
Driving and unregistered vehicle 
Driving an uninsured vehicle 
Providing a false name to police 
Bringing liquor into a restricted area 
Controlling liquor in a restricted area 
Four passengers - two men aged 36 and 34 and two women aged 36 and 38 - were also arrested and charged with bringing and controlling liquor in a restricted area. 
They will appear in the Hermannsburg Magistrates Court on January 11, 2010.
