Members of the Commander's Tactical Team (CTT) have arrested a 42-year-old male who allegedly broke into two businesses on Sunday night, stealing money and property.
It is alleged that at approximately 8:30 pm the male smashed a glass panel in the front entrance of Beaurepairs in Winnellie and stole four mobile phones from the premises.
He then allegedly walked to Cerbis Ceramics on Winnellie Road where he smashed a second window, gained entry to the premises and stole a digital camera and a quantity of coins.
A member of the public witnessed the 42-year-old male acting suspiciously near the premises and reported it to police.
Members attended, arrested the male and recovered the stolen property.
He was remanded in custody to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court today.
