Police

Police have arrested a 39-year-old female, a 19-year-old male and a 17-year-old male in relation to an unlawful entry that occurred in Darwin City over the weekend.

The 4th floor office of Minter Ellison in Smith Street was unlawfully entered and property valued at over $12 000 stolen on Sunday evening.

At approximately 5:30pm yesterday, members attached to Operation Compadre executed a search warrant on a hotel room in Darwin City where they recovered stolen property to the value of almost $8 000. A 39-year-old female in the room was arrested at the time.

Later that evening, police also arrested a 19-year-old and 17-year-old male in respect to the investigation.

All three persons are currently being held in police custody.

The 39-year-old female is due to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court today.

Acting Senior Sergeant Jeffrey Mosel praised the owner of the property for providing a good description of the stolen items which assisted in the recovery of the property and apprehension of the offenders.

"It is a timely reminder to mark your items with an identification number, such as your drivers licence, and photograph items of jewellery to assist in the unfortunate event that they are lost or stolen," he said.
