Update 2 - Fire at TIO - Darwin City

Police



Anyone who may have seen this purple Holden Barina around Darwin City between approximately 10.25 and 11.05 on Wednesday 03 February 2010 is asked to contact Police on 131 444.

Police are particularly interested in talking to the driver of the white Ute in the image and anyone else who may have seen the purple vehicle parking in the City.

The purple vehicle is believed to be that of the alleged offender, currently held in Police custody in regards to fire at TIO.

This vehicle was seized from the Mitchell Centre car park following the incident for examination by NT Police forensic investigators at the Peter McAulay Centre in Berrimah.

In addition, Police are seeking assistance from a male person of Aboriginal appearance who was at the scene at the time of the incident, believed to have had a laceration on his right foot and was possibly treated by St John Ambulance. Police believe this person may have seen the alleged offender approach and enter the TIO building.

Police are also seeking assistance from a male of African appearance wearing a red cap, red shirt and dark coloured trousers. He was seen in the car park just after the incident, possibly recording imagery with his mobile telephone.

Anyone else who witnessed this incident and recorded any imagery, sound or vision which may assist with the Police Investigation is also urged to contact Police on 131 444.
