Alice Springs Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision on Larapinta Drive last night.
Police , ambulance and fire crews attended the incident which occurred just before 9pm. Police said it appears the driver of a Holden Commodore travelling outbound on Larapinta Drive tried to execute a right hand turn into the Mobil Service Station and failed to give way to a Toyota Hilux travelling inbound.
The 36-year-old male driver of the Holden and a female passenger were trapped in their vehicle and were taken to hospital after they were cut from the car by Fire and Rescue Service crews.
No-one was seriously injured in the crash, but the inbound lane of Larapinta Drive was closed for an hour and a half. Police investigations into the crash are continuing.
