A 40-year-old male has been arrested by Katherine Detectives after the death of a 63-year-old male yesterday in Royal Darwin Hospital.

It is alleged that on the evening of 28 January (Thursday), the males were involved in an argument in bushland outside of Binjari Community.

The 63-year-old suffered serious head injuries and was airlifted to Darwin from Katherine.

The 40-year-old male is currently in police custody assisting Detectives with inquiries.

Charges are expected to be laid on Friday.
