Police have arrested a 13-year-old female and three 15-year-old females in relation to an incident in Malak overnight.

It is alleged that at approximately 10:30pm last night the four girls gained entry to a Malak residence. When asked to leave they assaulted the sole occupant at the time, being a 17-year-old female who fled from the house.

The offenders proceeded to cause extensive damage to the residence and steal property.

The victim ran to a neighbouring residence where she raised the alarm and police were contacted.

Investigators from the Commanders Tactical Team were in the area at the time, attended immediately and arrested the four girls at the scene.

They are currently in police custody and will be interviewed after all preliminary investigations have been completed.
