A 51-year-old man was taken to hospital after being assaulted in his home at Nightcliff.
Police received a report just before 2.30am this morning that a man had been assaulted in his unit in Aralia Street. The victim told police two men entered his home and stabbed him in the leg and ankle as well punching him and hitting him over the head with a glass bottle.
Police and ambulance were alerted and the man was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital. Police are investigating the incident and are appealing to anyone who might have information to phone 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
