Graduation - Squad 104

Police

Twenty recruits from Squad 104 will graduated today in a ceremony held at the Darwin Basketball Stadium in Marrara.

The ceremony marked the end of a 26 week training course at the Police, Fire and Emergency Services College for the graduates who will assume duties as constables across the NT.

The Rod Evans Memorial Trophy for the highest academic achievement in Squad 104 was awarded to Naomi Peter, 25.

Joshua Groves, 24, received the Commissioner's Trophy as the best overall course performer in academic, practical and physical training.

The Physical Training Trophy for outstanding physical training ability was awarded to Rowan Salerman, 20.

Jacqueline Hancock, 32, was presented with the Glen Huitson Trophy for the most consistent application in all areas of the training course.

Police Commissioner John McRoberts said, "The squad represented the standards expected of all police officers including honesty, integrity and dedication to serving the community."

"Congratulations to all members of Squad 104 for choosing to serve and protect Territorians and I wish them all the best with the challenges ahead."

The graduates will be posted as follows:

Alice Springs - 8
Palmerston - 5
Darwin - 2
Tennant Creek - 4; and
Casuarina - 1
