Interstate assistance sought in missing NT woman case

Police

NT Police are urgently seeking interstate public assistance to locate a 46-year-old Darwin woman last seen on 19 April 2010 who may be driving to visit her daughter in Safety Beach, Victoria.

Karen Margaret Kelly, who also goes by her maiden name Brook, is described as Caucasian, of slim build, approximately 171 cm tall with shoulder length brown hair and green eyes and was last seen wearing a black denim skirt and a blouse of unknown colour.

NT Police are particularly keen to locate her vehicle, a green coloured 2001 Toyota Corolla hatchback, with Northern Territory registration '700'.

Karen was reported missing after failing to return to her Darwin River home on 18 April and was last seen in the Darwin CBD on the morning of 19 April.

Her daughter, Ashli Brook, said the family was anxious for her mother to contact them.

"We love you and miss you and just want to know that you're OK," she said.

Anyone with information can contact NT Police on 131444, NT Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.nt.crimestoppers.com.au/.
