Members from the Youth Crime Unit have charged three youths in relation to unlawful entry and stealing offences over the weekend.

The offenders are alleged to have unlawfully entered a home on Waterhouse Crescent just before 11:00am on Friday before removing a digital camera and fleeing the scene.

Police received information from members of the public indicating the direction that the youths had run off in and after a short foot chase, Police apprehended the youths in the back yard of a nearby home.

The stolen property was also located.

"This was a good result and highlights the importance of the community notifying Police promptly of any suspicious behaviour in their area" Sergeant Jeff Mosel said.
