Unlawful entry arrests –Alice Springs - 4572551, 4572537

Four people have been arrested in relation to three break-ins at licensed premises in Alice Springs at the weekend.

Police received two reports of break-ins at the Heavitree Gap Hotel in the early hours of yesterday morning in which a quantity of alcohol was stolen. The first occurred just after 1.30am and the next was around 7am. Police arrested two men aged 20 and 23 in relation to the incidents. Both have been charged with unlawful entry and stealing. The 23-year-old man was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court today, while the 20-year-old has been bailed to appear at a later date.

Then police received a report around 4am on Sunday that two men had been apprehended by security guards after they unlawfully entered the Alice Springs Golf Club and stole liquor. The two men aged 27 and 28 were arrested and will appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court today charged with unlawful entry, stealing and criminal damage.
