Calling for public assistance - Assault Darwin City

Police



Police say the victim had been drinking with friends on Mitchell Street before deciding to go home at about 2:00 am. They believe the man was assaulted while waiting for a lift in the vicinity of the Value Inn.

A member of the public located the man with facial injuries and called authorities.

The victim has no recollection of the incident, however due to the nature of his injuries police believe he may have been assaulted.

Members from the Darwin Investigations Unit are interested in speaking with two men depicted in CCTV footage taken from Monsoons on Mitchell Street.

Anyone who can identify the men or who may have further information in relation to the incident are urged to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The CCTV footage is available to be picked up from Darwin Police Station, front counter.
