A man was taken to hospital following a single vehicle crash in Braitling overnight.

When the driver saw police activate their lights he sped off into Dixon Road where he lost control of the vehicle near Angguna Avenue. The 21-year-old driver was running away from the scene when police arrived. He was apprehended and taken to the Alice Springs Hospital with a deep laceration to his arm.

Three passengers in the vehicle received minor injuries. The driver will be summonsed to appear in court over the incident at a later date.
