A 21-year-old man will appear in court following the death of a stabbing victim this morning.

On Thursday night, September 2, police received a report that a man had been stabbed in the leg and another in the back during an altercation at the camp. Both victims were taken to Alice Springs Hospital where the victim of the leg wound died this morning. The other victim has been treated and since discharged.

On Saturday, September 4, a 21-year-old man was arrested in relation to the incident. He has been charged with the stabbing of the man who died this morning. He has been bailed to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court on October 7.

Another 21-year-old man has been arrested in Yuendumu today over the stabbing of the victim who sustained back wounds in the incident. He will be interviewed today.
