Drink driver three times over the legal limit - Alice Springs

Police

At approximately 9.55 pm a Ford Fairmont sedan nearly collided with a police car and another vehicle as it travelled down the wrong side of South Terrace.

Police stopped the driver and conducted a roadside breath test which returned a positive reading.

The man was arrested and conveyed to the Alice Springs Police Station where he was subjected to a breath analysis and provided a reading of 0.264% BAC, three times over the legal limit.

That man has been charged with:
driving unlicensed
drive in a dangerous manner
drive with a high range blood alcohol content

Police would like to remind drivers not to get behind the wheel if you have been drinking, you are putting your own life and everyone else's at risk.
