A 40 year-old Minjilang man has been charged with cannabis offences and possessing prohibited material after a search at Minjilang airport yesterday morning uncovered a quantity of drugs. At approximately 10.15 am police attended the airport and searched passengers of a plane that had been chartered from Darwin. The search uncovered over 50 grams of cannabis concealed in a 40 mm PVC plastic pipe. A quantity of money bundled and rolled was also located along with an X-Rated DVD, prohibited material in a prescribed area. The defendant has been charged with the following offences; Possess cannabis - trafficable quantity 2 x counts supply cannabis to another Possess / Control prohibited material The man has been bailed to appear in Darwin on 29 December 2010.
