NT Police were called to The Lodge on Cecil Cook Avenue, Marrara last night after receiving reports of a disturbance.
It is alleged a 28-year-old woman staying at the lodge was involved in a verbal argument with a group of also staying there before he assaulted her.
She received very minor injuries during the incident.
Other people staying at the lodge became agitated after the argument and requested police attend to resolve the issue.
Police attended the scene, however no action was required as the issue had been resolved and the man had apologised to the female.
The matter has now been finalised.
