Aggravated Assault – Alice Springs

A 35-year-old man has been remanded in custody after stabbing his wife with a pocket knife overnight. The victim has been airlifted to Royal Adelaide Hospital after undergoing emergency surgery for arterial damage and compartmental syndrome to her arm. She is expected to undergo further surgery in Adelaide today in an attempt to save her lower arm. In the attack, a second male also sustained a minor cut to his shoulder. The alleged offender has been charged with the following offences and will face court today.
