Members from the Tactical Response Group are currently assessing high risk areas for flooding in the vicinity of Darwin River Dam by helicopter.

Advice is given to households in low-lying areas of the Darwin River area, including Darwin River Road, Reedbeds Road, Old Bynoe Road, Cox Penninsula Road, Mira Road, Blackmore River, Darwin River, and surrounding areas to prepare for localised flooding.

Survey and Rescue made up of NT Police and the Fire and Rescue Service personnel are currently providing assistance to residence in the area, and have conducted one rescue on Old Bynoe Road.
