Update #20 - Possible Flooding - Adelaide River

Police

Police, Fire and Emergency Services advise residents of Adelaide River to brace for possible flooding during this evening.

The river is currently at 11.2 metres and could possibly reach 12 metres.

Residents of Memorial Drive are urged to prepare their homes as the river continues to rise.

Local police have been liaising with the public and some residents have commenced sandbagging their homes.

The Stuart Highway near Adelaide River is currently experiencing flooding and all travel should be minimised. Police urge motorists to exercise extreme caution if they have to travel in the area.
