Search and Rescue - Adelaide River

Police

Members of the Territory Response Group, Search and Rescue Team are currently conducting a search and rescue mission at Adelaide River on the Arnhem Highway.

At about 9:00am today Police received reports that two vehicles had been washed off the Arnhem Highway as a result of flooding.


Two men are missing as a result of the incident.


TRG members are currently conducting aerial and ground searches of the area and have located two vehicles submerged east of the Adelaide River Bridge on the Arnhem Highway.

A rescue mission is currently underway and enquiries are being made with locals, friends and relatives in order to locate the missing persons.

Police are urgently seeking information in relation to the incident or the whereabouts of the missing people. Anyone with further information is urged to contact police on 131 444.
