The Victoria Highway has been closed to all traffic at Timber Creek.

Police advise that due to flooding of the highway at Sandy Creek 20 kilometres west of Timber Creek the road has been closed.

There is also water over the road at a number of places on the Victoria Highway between Katherine and Timber Creek and motorists are urged to drive with caution .
