Police are calling for public assistance after a man was assaulted at the 24 Hour Store on Todd Street last night.

Police were initialled called to the incident in relation to an armed person just after midnight. On arrival police located a 29-year-old male lying on the ground in the car park with a number of lacerations to his face and hands. Police immediately conveyed the man to Alice Springs Hospital for treatment.



A crime scene was established and CCTV from the premises has been requested by police.



Police are currently speaking with the victim.



One person of interest has been identified and police are continuing Investigations.
