90 km/h in a school zone – Humpty Doo

Police

Police were monitoring the school zone on Fred's Pass Road when they stopped the speeding driver.

A/Senior Sergeant Andrew Heath said travelling at this high speed in a school zone is totally unacceptable.

"This type of behaviour is putting the lives of young children and those in the school community at risk.

"As adults, it is our responsibility to create a safe environment and set an example for children.

"The safety and welfare of our children should be the number one priority for all motorists travelling through school zones," he said.

All drivers are reminded that the 40km/h speed limit in school zones remains in force from 7.00am to 5.00pm each school day.
