Police, Fire and Rescue and St John Ambulance attended the scene just before 2:30 pm.

The man was travelling with a group of motorcycle riders who quickly came to his aid, along with passing motorists.

The man was transported to the Royal Darwin Hospital by St John Ambulance but has since died as a result of his injuries.

Initial investigations indicate the man was travelling inbound on Tiger Brennan Drive, when he approached the intersection of Berrimah Road to make a right hand turn. The motorcycle clipped the curb causing the rider to lose control and come off the bike.

Investigations are continuing.
