The Territory’s Wanted – Listed Online

Police

Today, the NT Police, Fire and Emergency Services launched their new internet site complete with the never seen before list of the ‘Territory’s Wanted’.

Assistant Commissioner Crime and Support Service, Reece Kershaw said he’s pleased to introduce this new medium to work with the public in tackling crime across the Territory.

“The ‘Territory’s Wanted’ lists persons who Police are trying to locate in relation to various alleged offences. This is the first time NT Police have made such a list available to the public and utilising a website is the most effective way of ensuring the broadest audience.

“Where possible this will include a photo, personal details and a brief statement about the alleged offence they’re wanted in relation to.

“The new ‘Northern Territory Police Force’ Facebook account will also link to the list and notifications will be posted on Facebook when the list changes.

“Someone out there knows who these people are and where they are located.

“One person has already been located in Queensland this morning since the information went live. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these people, should contact Police on 131 444 or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” Assistant Commissioner Kershaw said.

The new internet site also details Fire and Emergency Service information including how to join or become a volunteer, a ‘kids challenge’ and online reporting of compliments or complaints.

The new website can be located at - http://www.pfes.nt.gov.au/
