NT Police are calling for witnesses to come forward after a 70-year-old man was assaulted in a road rage incident at about 9:30 am in Yarrawonga.
It is alleged the 70-year-old man was driving along McMillans Road in a Suzuki Swift when a Green Toyota Hilux overtook him in a dangerous manner.

The 23-year-old male passenger of the Hilux then got out of the vehicle and allegedly approached the elderly man and punched him, knocking him to the ground unconscious before fleeing the scene.
The 23-year-old male was arrested shortly after the attack and has been charged with aggravated assault, fail to render assistance and resist arrest.
The 70-year-old male was taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital by St John Ambulance.
Sergeant Troy Stephens said this was a cowardly attack on an elderly man and Police would like to speak to any one that witnessed the attack or who stopped and provided assistance to the victim.
