Tennant Creek Detectives are calling for witnesses in relation to an assault that occurred in Tennant Creek on Saturday 24 September 2011.

Detective Acting Sergeant Belinda Sanderson said that a 28-year-old female was assaulted on Staunton Street.

“We believe the incident occurred between 9:00 pm – 9:30 pm,” said Detective Acting Sergeant Sanderson.

“We also have reason to believe that a light coloured sedan that collided with a tree outside Blue Skies Apartments on Patterson Street later that same night, could be involved.

“Police urge anyone that may have witnessed the incident, or who may have information relating to it, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
