A 25-year-old woman is recovering from severe lacerations to her head after being attacked in the early hours of this morning.

About 2:40am two women and one man confronted the victim at the 24-hour Store on Gap Road.

“The woman was knocked to the ground and beaten with a metal pole before being kicked and punched numerous times to the head and body.” Said Senior Constable Deanne Ward from the Southern Investigations Division.

“The offenders Police are looking for left the scene in a dark coloured sedan.”

“This was a particularly nasty attack and won’t be tolerated.” Said Senior Constable Ward.

The victim is currently helping Police with inquiries.
