Northern Territory Police have this afternoon arrested a man in relation to the murder of a 42-year-old woman in Alice Springs last week.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Leith Phillips said the man, 48, was arrested at around 2pm in Tennant Creek and is currently being held in Police custody.

“The man will be conveyed to Alice Springs where he will further assist Police with their inquiries,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Phillips said.

“NT Police would like to thank the public for all the help and information they have provided in relation to this matter.”
