A 58-year-old man was summonsed to face drugs charges following a bust in Batchelor.

Constable Scott Pearson said after receiving information from a member of the public, Police conducted a search behind a service station on Rum Jungle Road

“Police located 81 cannabis plants ranging in size from seedlings through to plants over a metre in height. Police also found 167.3 grams of dried plant material and 33.7 grams of cannabis seed,” Constable Pearson said.

“The alleged owner of the cannabis was located and summonsed to appear in court at a later date to face charges of possess schedule 2 drug commercial and possess schedule 2 drug trafficable.”
