Alice Springs Police this morning located the silver Ford Ranger which was stolen from a resort on Barrett Drive in Desert Springs last week.
Senior Constable Tim Easthope from the Southern Investigations Division said the vehicle and approximately $10,000 worth of camping and four wheel driving equipment, along with a wallet and mobile phone was stolen on Friday 3 August.
“Police located the vehicle during a patrol in the Barrett Drive area at 12:25am today,” Senior Constable Easthope said.
“A majority of the stolen items have also been recovered; however the wallet, phone and keys to the vehicle still remain outstanding.
“Police will continue to investigate the theft in an attempt to locate offender/s and urge anyone who may have information regarding the unlawful entry and/or stolen motor vehicle to contact Police on 131 444.”
