Police are investigating the theft of a $75,000 vehicle from a business in Alice Springs overnight.
Detective Superintendent Brent Warren of the Southern Investigations Division said the vehicle was stolen from a business on Sargent Street at around 8:30 pm last night.
“Witnesses contacted the Police, stating a man of Aboriginal appearance in his 20s entered the truck and drove it through a fence,” Detective Superintendent Warren said.
“The vehicle is described as a 2005 Hino Flat Top Truck with a red mini crane affixed behind the cabin and NT registration CA28NN.
“The truck was last seen travelling north on the North Stuart Highway and I urge anyone who may see the vehicle, to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000."
