Tennant Creek Police are calling for public assistance following a structural fire in Peko Road last night.

Police and NT Fire and Rescue Service (NTFRS) members attended the scene at around 7:30pm to find the house fully engulfed in flames.

Superintendent Craig Barrett said fortunately no one was inside the house at the time of the fire. Despite the great efforts of the NTFRS the structure was mostly destroyed.

“A crime scene was established and at this stage we are treating the fire as suspicious. We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone who may have further information.”
