Police

Police continue to hold concerns for the welfare of 48-year-old missing man Peter Rumbel, last seen in Batchelor on 13 April.

Superintendent Michael White of the Arafura Division said Mr Rumbel, who suffers from a medical condition, hasn’t been seen or heard from since he left his residence near Flynn Crescent two weeks ago.

“Police and NT Emergency Service personnel have searched a large area on foot, on quad bikes and in helicopters in an attempt to locate the man,” Superintendent White said.

“The physical search has now been suspended, pending any further information which may come to hand.

“Mr Rumbel is described to be of Caucasian appearance, medium build, approximately 170cm tall with brown hair.

“We continue to urge anyone who may have seen Mr Rumbel, or who may know of his whereabouts, to please contact Police immediately on 131 444.”
