ATS, Steroids Seized in drug raid

Drug and Organised Crime Detectives have charged a 23 year-old man with multiple drug offences following his arrest in Coconut Grove.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Schiller said a resultant search of a residence in Nightcliff uncovered evidence of supply.

“Police will allege the man was in possession of dangerous drugs and of items related to the supply of dangerous drugs to the community.

“We remain concerned that people profiting from the sale of drugs give little or no concern to the damage they do, the wider ramifications of their actions or of the people they harm.”

Detective Senior Sergeant Schiller said that approximately 55 grams of an Amphetamine Type Substance, 10 ecstasy tablets, 81 Steroid tablets, testosterone and a small amount of cannabis was seized during the search warrant execution.

“The 23 year-old man has been has been charged with possess a trafficable quantity of methamphetamine, possess trafficable quantity of MDMA, possess trafficable quantity of steroids and supply methamphetamine.  He was refused bail and will appear in the Darwin Magistrates court today”
