Youths Arrested for Unlawful Entry - Katherine

Police

Katherine Detectives and Uniform Officers have arrested four youths responsible for an unlawful entry at Katherine High School.

Superintendent Megan Rowe said it is alleged the four male youths, two aged 15, and a 16 and a 17-year-old, entered the school on Friday night and caused considerable damage to a number of buildings.

“The youths rummaged through the rooms and located a quantity of cash and electronic items before fleeing the area,” Superintendent Rowe said.

“The youths were located and assisted in the recovery of a majority of the stolen property. Three of the youths have been charged and bailed to appear in court at a later date. The fourth, a 16-year-old male, was released pending youth diversion.”
