An 18-year-old man has been charged with murder and will appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court tomorrow morning, following the death of a 55-year-old male.

The victim passed away at Alice Springs Hospital on Saturday morning, as a result of head injuries sustained during an altercation at an Alice Springs town camp.

The alleged offender has been charged with murder, armed with an offensive weapon at night time and several traffic offences. He has been remanded in custody.
