Police hold grave concerns for 64-year-old Patricia Hastie, who went missing from Virginia on Wednesday evening.

Superintendent Matt Hollamby of the Darwin Metropolitan Command is calling on all residents in the rural area to assist police by searching their blocks, shedding and houses and to contact Police if they have any information.

“Although suffering from dementia, Patricia Hastie is quite fit and spritely, and may have travelled quite some distance,” said Superintendent Hollamby.

“With this in mind, we are urging all residents in the rural area to check their homes and grounds, particularly sheds and structures that are normally vacant.

“Police and NTES Volunteers have continued searching all day, both on the ground and from the air.

“Time is now of the essence and we need the communities support.”
