Detectives from the Sex Crimes Squad have arrested three males in relation to a sexual assault that occurred in the early hours of this morning.

Detective Senior Sergeant Bradley Currie said the victim was sleeping in a park near the Palmerston CBD when she was allegedly assaulted by three males.

“Following information from the victim and evidence obtained by General Duty Officers from Palmerston, Detectives were able to identify the alleged suspects this afternoon.”

Detective Senior Sergeant Currie said the males, aged 22, 25 and 28 remain in custody and will be interviewed later tonight.
