Unlawful Entry Charges - Darwin

A 30-year-old man will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today in relation to a series of unlawful entries in the Northern Suburbs.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said the offender allegedly unlawfully entered a residence in Malak and a residence in Coconut Grove and stole a small amount of cash and electronic items earlier this month.

“It’s alleged the offender also unlawfully entered a residence in Coconut Grove on 13 March. The offender allegedly threatened the victim with a kitchen knife before fleeing with a small amount of money and medication.”

Members from Strike Force Trident located and arrested the alleged offender on Friday.

“Police will allege this man has been targeting sick people and robbing them of their cash and medication. We work hard to get these types of offenders into custody,” Detective Senior Sergeant Stringer said.

He was charged with:

Stealing (x2)

Robbery while armed – offensive weapon

Aggravated unlawful enter dwelling with intent to commit offence

Damage to property

Possess schedule 2 substance

Possess poison without authority.
