Police have arrested a 40-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man in relation to a disturbance at Casuarina Shopping Centre last night.

Acting Superintendent Kerry Hoskins said Police responded to reports of a disturbance involving five men and two women at around 7:30pm.

“Police will allege the group threatened three men aged 20, 21 and 25 with knives and an iron bar.

“The woman was allegedly involved in an altercation after she threatened a woman with a metal socket bar. She was arrested by Police and charged with assault, disorderly behaviour, possession of offensive weapon and going armed in public.

“A 41-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault (x3), disorderly behaviour, possession of a controlled weapon and resist Police.

“A 28-year-old man has also been arrested and remains in Police custody assisting with enquiries.”
