Pair Charged with 84 Offences - Darwin

A 34-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today charged with 84 property and bail related offences.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Matt Akers from Strike Force Trident said the two offenders allegedly unlawfully entered three residences and five businesses across Darwin, Palmerston and the rural area between 12 and 17 June.

“The offenders allegedly stole a number of electronic items including mobile phones, laptops and cameras from these premises.

“Police located the alleged offenders walking along the Arnhem Highway after receiving reports a business on the Adelaide River had been unlawfully entered on Monday morning, 17 June.

“The pair were arrested still in possession of the stolen property after their vehicle, allegedly stolen from a residence in Rosebery on 16 June, broke down.

“This is another great result for Trident with members recovering around $30,000 worth of stolen property.”

They have been charged with a number of offences including:
