Police have charged a 28-year-old man with gross indecency in public.

Detective Senior Sergeant Bradley Currie of the Sex Crimes Squad said the alleged offender was witnessed behaving in an indecent manner in a public place in Coconut Grove on 10 June.

“The man was arrested earlier today and will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court at a later date.

“Police urge members of the public who witness acts of gross indecency, lewd or offensive behaviour to call Police on 000 or 131 444. Often the information received will assist Police to identify the offender and take appropriate action.”
