Members from the Southern Investigation Division have charged three men aged 24, 30 and 33 in relation to the assault of a 39-year-old man.

Detective Superintendent Brent Warren said the three offenders allegedly assaulted the man in Alice Springs CBD at around 7pm on 19 June.

“Police alleged the offenders kicked the victim and threw a bottle at his head after he approached them.

“The men were arrested by Police a short time later, and subsequently charged with aggravated assault and being armed with an offensive weapon.”

The men were remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court on 21 June 2013.
