Witnesses Sought - Armed Robbery – Humpty Doo

Police are calling on assistance from the public in relation to an armed robbery of a petrol station in Humpty Doo last night.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland from Strike Force Trident, said a man, wearing a balaclava, attended United Petroleum on the Arnhem Highway at around 8:30pm, armed with a machete.

“The man ushered a staff member back inside and demanded cash,” Detective Senior Sergeant Bland said.

“He obtained a small quantity of cash and fled the store into neighbouring bushland.

“The man is described to be of Caucasian appearance, approximately 157cm tall and of solid build. At the time of the event he was wearing blue jeans, a long sleeved green work shirt and a black balaclava with a white skull logo on the front.

“Police urge anyone who may have witnessed the event, or who may recognise this man, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
