Detectives from the Major Crime Squad have charged a 19-year-old woman with the murder of a 35-year-old man in Darwin City on 1 August.

Detective Senior Sergeant Lee Morgan said she has also been charged with breaching a domestic violence order.

She has been remanded in custody and will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court at a later date.
